THE SIGNAL / PRIVACY

Privacy at
THE SIGNAL.

THE SIGNAL is published by AT THE CODE. This page describes the current magazine and its prepared advertising features as of 10 October 2026.

THE MAGAZINE

Reading and sharing.

The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes technical request information needed to serve the pages and protect the service. Our on-device Read Aloud feature uses your browser's speech capability. The article share button opens your device's share sheet or copies a link. These features do not create an advertising profile.

EXTERNAL SERVICES

Video and checkout.

Some features embed videos from YouTube using its privacy enhanced domain. Playing or loading an embedded player can involve a connection to YouTube and its own data practices. A few credited archive images load from Wikimedia Commons. The separate book purchase link sends you to Stripe, which handles the payment under its own privacy terms. THE SIGNAL does not collect card details on magazine pages.

ADVERTISING

Advertising is inactive.

No Google AdSense script or behavioural advertising is running on THE SIGNAL. The proposed advertiser portal is closed. Once authorised, advertiser accounts would process business name, email, a securely hashed password, campaign details, requested dates and private creative solely to administer bookings. Approved advertisements would display to readers as labelled, contextual placements without click or impression tracking.

Before accounts or third party ads are enabled, the publisher will complete its formal privacy notice, contact details, retention and deletion arrangements, and any consent platform needed for the chosen advertising service.
